The year 2007 proved to be a very fruitful year for the Chamber. FACCSFV actively participated on various projects and events which had great impact to the Filipino community. It has also forged strong partnerships and strategic alliances with some non-governmental organizations aimed at promoting the Filipino-American community.

 

UNITED CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ,
THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY (UCC)


United Chambers of Commerce (UCC) of the San Fernando Valley and Region is a coaltion of 32 business organizations including, twenty-two (22) chambers, six (6) business organizations and four (4) strategic partners representing over 21,000 businesses.UCC deals with Valley-wide, Country-wide and Regional issues and promoted the San Fernando Valley's overall welfare , progress and economic prosperity. Additionally, UCC provides a network of communication among chambers, businesses and government to amplify local concerns.

 

VALLEY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER (VEDC)

VEDC has grown to become the largest non-profit business development corporation in the metropolitan Los Angeles area providing consultations, trainings, financing assistance and workforce solutions to local businesses. In 2006, VEDC provided consulting for 5,000 businesses; graduated 250 business owners from VEDC's Entrepreneurial and Microenterprise Training Programs, was responsible for $20 million in direct and guaranteed lending and assisted in placing 45 people into jobs. These efforts resulted in the creation of 600 jobs and 155 new businesses.

 

ASIAN PACIFIC AIDS INTERVENTION TEAM (APAIT)

APAIT is one of the nation's largest providers of HIV/AIDS prevention and care services for the Asian and Pacific islander (API) communities. APAIT's mission is to positively affect the quality of life for API's living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS by providing a continuum of prevention, health and social services , community leadership and advocacy to the Southern California region. It has been providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services to API's since 1987 through a very dedicated, compassionate and talented group of individuals.

Mabuhay Chapter Toastmasters Club


Its mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has an opportunity to develop communications and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. All Chamber members are welcome to join and share this gift of learning to communicate successfully while having fun .

We meet Every 1st & 3rd Mondays of every month at Jollibee (private room) Panorama City, California.

"Mabuhay" Toastmaster is a socially inclusive community club where the meeting agendas are full and exciting.
