New Office "WoW"
We have recently signed its two year lease agreement with the United Chamber of Commerce for the office space it will occupy effective April first. When our President, Leo Maranan found out about UCC moving to another office , he wasted no time and immediately notified Debi Schulze (President of the UCC) of the chamber’s intent to occupy the said office space. Negotiations did not come so easy as there were also other entity interested in it. Leo’s persistency paid off, the Chamber got it. The much coveted office space is located in a 3 story building in Sherman Oaks where UCC, VEDC, Economic Alliance of SFV, Valley Industry and Commerce Association, Valley Leadership Institute and other Alliance of SFV, Valley non-profit organizations are also housed. Industry and housed. It has a spacious conference room rooms available for use for board meeting, presentations, conferences and other events. See you in our office!

Recognizing the strong presence of the Filipino-American Community in the San Fernando Valley through the visibility of the Chamber, FACCSFV was the recipient of a community grant from Wells Fargo Bank . This is one of the many ways Wells Fargo Banks support the community.
UCC Individual Business Recognition Award

This is an annual event of the UCC honoring Businesses, Business Leaders and Public Officials whose contributions have made a difference in their communities. The 2008 Recognition Awards were given to notable members nominated by their respective chambers . All of the chamber members can nominate candidates and just one in each category was selected and recognized by United Chambers for their contributions in making the San Fernando Valley or surrounding area a better place in which to work and live. This year's recipient of the Individual Business Recognition award is Chamber member, Lulu Regular Mercado, President/owner/broker Coldwell Banker Prime Properties. Congrats Lulu!
